MISSION:
Floridians For Recovery advocates on behalf of individuals, families
and significant others who are suffering from drug and alcohol
addiction.

PURPOSE:
Serve the needs of Florida’s recovery community (FFR’s
constituency);
Enhance Florida’s substance abuse education, prevention, treatment
and rehabilitation system;
Improve quality & access to care;
Attract loyal "influencers" of the influential;
Recruit strong supporters of FFR;
Promote diversity & equality;
Reduce stigma through educational initiatives;
Personalization of the issue and the telling of positive stories.

is a private, not-for-profit, 501 (c) (4), coalition of
advocates and consumers advocating for substance
abuse education, prevention, treatment and
rehabilitation services, and is chartered under Chapters
496 and 617 of the Florida Statutes.
Floridians For Recovery
is not subsidized by any other organization, nor is it affiliated with or
committed to any political entity.
FFR’s constituency consists of those in recovery, their families,
support groups, loved ones, significant others, including victims, as
well as advocates for an improved education, prevention system and
enhanced, comprehensive treatment services statewide.
ACTION PLAN:
Promote/Advocate FFR Constituency Issues;
Enlist Partners, Workers, Sponsors, Donors;
Develop Working Committees;
Train Leadership;
Exhibit FFR at Statewide Conferences;
Expand Membership.
