He is an active board member of the advocacy group Floridians
For Recovery, an association that advocates, assists and works to
include and represent the recovery community in matters of public
policy regarding treatment service provision.    
Carolyn was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, one of three children. After attending St.
Dominic's Grammar School and St. Joseph's High School, she continued her education at
Georgian Court College, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration. Her academic
accomplishments include earning Second Honors and an Honorable Mention, as well as
serving on the Student Council. She held positions in the Business Club and also played
Varsity Basketball.

Her career accomplishments include working as a Branch Service Representative at New
Jersey National Bank for five years while attending college. She worked at Burlington
Coat Factory for eight years, first as a Cashroom Auditor and then as Customer Service
Manager and Keyholder for the store. Before relocating to Florida in 2005, she was a
Customer Account Executive for Comcast Cable for five years.

She is currently an Outreach Peer Recovery Support Specialist at the PEER Center in
Oakland Park Florida, working with substance abuse clients, mental health consumers,
and the homeless. She has begun taking courses in pursuit of her CAP and is working
toward her certification as a Peer Specialist.

Her extensive background in customer service and being in recovery herself has given
her the life experience that is much needed to help others on their journey to a new way
of life.

Mr. Weaver was contracted by the Florida Department of Children
and Families to provide utilization management, licensing and
monitoring of services for substance abuse treatment providers.
He excels in busy work environments and is detail oriented. He
is a highly organized individual who is more than capable of
representing organizations as a liaison with other agencies in a
professional manner.
Bill provides consulting services to private coaches, counselors,
treatment programs and government agencies, and has developed and
implemented treatment programs for many substance abuse facilities. He
has been contracted by the Florida Department of Corrections to design
and implement substance abuse treatment programs for inmates in the
state prison system.   
Bill taught the Clinical Supervision Model for Substance Abuse Treatment
Professionals at the Florida School of Addictions Studies (University of
North Florida) Jacksonville, Florida. He has also taught ethics for the
Department of Children and Families at the University of Florida. He has
extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing inpatient
and outpatient treatment programs. He has excellent leadership skills and
is able to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Bill is a qualified Addiction Professional with a Master of Science in
Human Services Programs from Springfield College. He has a B.S. Degree
from Florida State University in Transdisciplinary Social Science
Programs. He has many years of experience in a variety of prevention and
treatment settings working with individuals and teams.
